Who we are
HurleyAI is a website studio and AI phone service run by Kyle Hurley, a sole trader on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This policy covers the hurleyai.dev website, our enquiry and order forms, the AI phone receptionist and its public demo line, and the HurleyAI Pipeline and Look Who's Talking apps.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We do that whether or not the small business exemption applies to us, because it is the right way to treat the people who contact us.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to do what you asked. You are never required to give more than the form marks as required.
| When | What | Why |

| Start a build (deposit) | Name, mobile, business name; optionally email and current website | To confirm your order, send your receipt and next steps, and set up your build |

| Visiting the site | Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed) and advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel | Security, and to see whether our ads work. See Tracking. |
| Texting or emailing us | Your number or address and what you send | To reply |
How we use it
- To do the thing you asked: text you your concept or demo link, book the call, build your site, run your receptionist, send your receipt.
- To follow up on your enquiry. When you ask for a concept, a demo, a call or a build you are asking us to contact you, and we will do that by text or phone from Kyle's number. Every text says who it is from. Reply STOP to any text and we will not text you again, apart from replies you ask for and messages about a service you are paying for.
- To run and improve the service: fixing problems, keeping the site and receptionist working, and reviewing calls to make your receptionist better.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping tax records of payments.
We do not sell personal information, we do not rent or trade lists, and we do not send newsletters or marketing to people who have not asked to hear from us.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run HurleyAI. Some of them store data outside Australia, mostly in the United States. We only share what each one needs, and they may only use it to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What it does | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel (US) | Hosts hurleyai.dev, its forms and the AI phone software | Server logs; form submissions in transit; private audio files uploaded through our drop page |
| Telegram (servers outside Australia) | Every form submission is sent as a message to Kyle's private Telegram so he can reply fast | The details you typed into the form |
| Resend (US) | Sends your receipt and next steps email, and a copy of enquiries to Kyle | Your email address and the enquiry |
| Stripe (US) | Payments | Your card details and payment record. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the card data. |
| Meta (US) | Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel) | See Tracking |
| Google Fonts (US) | Serves the typefaces on this site | Your IP address when the font files are requested |
| Vapi, Twilio and the AI model providers they use (US) | Run the AI phone receptionist and demo line | Caller ID, audio, recordings and transcripts of calls |
| Neon (US) | Database for the AI phone service | Call summaries, bookings and messages taken on calls |
We will also disclose information if the law requires it, for example to a court or regulator, and to a professional adviser under confidentiality if we need advice.
Tracking and cookies
This site uses one third-party tracker: the Meta Pixel. It records that you visited a page and, if you send a form, that a lead was submitted. It does not send us your name or number; it lets Meta tell us which of our Facebook and Instagram ads led to enquiries, and lets Meta show ads to people who visited. It sets cookies called _fbp and _fbc on your browser.
There is no cookie banner because Australian law does not require one for this kind of measurement cookie, and we would rather not put a pop-up between you and the page. If you do not want it, use a browser or extension that blocks trackers, or turn off ad personalisation in your Meta ad settings. Everything on the site works with the Pixel blocked. Full detail, including every cookie we set, is on the cookie policy.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and we do not track you across other websites.
AI phone receptionist
The demo line
Calls to our demo number (07 4801 0310) and to demo numbers we text you are answered by an AI. Those calls are recorded and transcribed so we can check and improve the receptionist, and so Kyle can hear how your demo went. Your caller ID is kept with the transcript. Calling the demo line is your consent to that recording. If you would rather we deleted a demo call, ask and we will.
Receptionists we run for businesses
When a business uses our AI receptionist, we process its callers' information (caller ID, what they said, the details they left, recordings and transcripts) on that business's behalf and under its instructions. The business is responsible for telling its callers what it needs to under the law where the call is made, and we help it do that, including by adding a recording notice to the greeting where the business asks for one. Messages taken on calls are texted to the business owner and kept in the business's own dashboard.
HurleyAI Pipeline and Look Who's Talking apps
HurleyAI Pipeline
- Account data: your email address and a password, stored by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see your password.
- Pipeline data: the leads, notes, follow-up dates and payment records you enter. This data belongs to you. It is stored on your device and synced to Google Firebase (Firestore) so you can use it across devices, protected by rules so only your signed-in account can read or write it.
- No advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics SDKs in the app.
- Deleting your data: in the app, open Account → Delete account & all data. That permanently removes your account. You can also email us and we will delete it within 30 days.
Look Who's Talking
The Look Who's Talking calling app collects no data at all. Calls travel directly between the two devices (peer-to-peer), nothing is recorded or stored, no account is required, and the talking-time chart is computed on your device and discarded when the call ends. Temporary connection codes are deleted when the call starts.
Storage, retention and security
- Enquiries are kept while they are relevant to the conversation with you, and are deleted when you ask.
- Client records, invoices and payment records are kept for 7 years because Australian tax law requires it.
- Demo call recordings and transcripts are kept while they are useful for improving the receptionist, and are deleted when you ask. Client receptionist recordings are kept for as long as the client instructs.
- Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), stored with providers that encrypt at rest, and only Kyle has access to it. Admin pages are behind a login.
- If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as soon as practicable.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See what personal information we hold about you;
- Correct it if it is wrong;
- Delete it. We will delete everything except records we must keep by law (such as payment records), usually within 30 days;
- Stop contacting you. Reply STOP to any text, or email us. We keep a record of your number only so we do not contact you again.
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
