Straight answers.

Is $1,490 really the whole price?
Yes. It covers the design, the build, the onsite shoot, the first year of hosting and connecting your domain. The only thing outside it is your domain name if you don't already own one (about $20 a year), and anything you ask for later that goes well beyond a website.
What makes it better than a template site?
It's yours. Designed around your trade, your photos and your customers, so it doesn't look like the next van's site. It works: forms land on your phone, tap-to-call, tap-to-text. And it keeps improving, which a template never does.
What does "ongoing improvements" mean?
Text me a change and it's done. New photos, a new service, a price change, a new page. It's included, not a ticket queue and not an hourly bill.
What happens after the 12 months of hosting?
Hosting renews at a flat yearly fee, or I hand you the files and you host wherever you like. There's no lock-in and no template licence, because there's no template.
Do I need to write anything?
No. I get everything I need from you and the shoot. You read the words before they go live and change whatever you like.
I've already got a website. Can you fix it instead?
Usually it's faster and cheaper to rebuild than to fight a template. I'll look at what you've got on the call and tell you honestly which one makes sense.
Where do you work?
Across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. The onsite shoot is included anywhere between the two. Further afield, we do it over video and you send photos.
